Hi, I’m Anne-Rose. I was raised by African parents and later became one myself—while carrying the emotional weight of unhealed stories.
As a mother, consultant, and cultural storyteller, I launched The African Parent to offer what I wish I had: A safe space to heal, a community that truly gets it, and parenting tools rooted in both love and culture.
This platform is my love letter to every African parent breaking cycles and building better. Beyond parenting, I’m also a lover of travel, cultures, and fine dining—finding joy in exploring the richness of life.
Advocacy is close to my heart. I’ve served on the board of trustees for the Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria, mentored parents, and even worked as a parent governor. Professionally, I lead as a Transformation Change Manager, helping organisations navigate transitions and thrive through change.
All these pieces of me—mother, wife, advocate, change-maker—come together in The African Parent. My hope is that the love, skills, and experiences I carry will shine through every part of this movement. 💚
